Anyone use the Bodyguard with pull-through retention for a 1911?

They work like a charm. I have an older shoulder rig and several of his belt scabbards with the pull snap retention strap. The gun just slides out and the way he designs his there's no chance of scratching the finish which can't be said for some other designs. His rigs are moulded so well that to me the strap or snap is just an afterthought.

Was just curios about it with the 1911 design. I've heard he avoids it for Glocks, but I'm a 1911 guy and wondered about it open backed and a snap in the trigger guard (and being horizontal). But if it wasn't safe, I guess Lou wouldn't bother doing it!

I carried mine only twice, never had a problem. it goes thru trigger guard and did not leave any marks on mine.

I almost never use a shoulder holster but one of the few I have is one of Lou's Bodyguards. The pull-through snap works well.

I think the only other one I have is what I believe to be the last Cooper-style to come out of Sparks (so I was told by an old friend who passed it on to me).
