I know that the Leather Magicians here can do anything, but I'm considering a railed Commander size 1911 and was wondering...

A. Does a railed Commander size 1911 (Stainless Kimber Pro TLE/RL II) carry & conceal as well in leather as a normal Commander?

B. Does it draw as well with the rails sliding on leather or will it have a slower draw than standard Commander configuration?

Thanks All

No problem with the concealment. You cannot use standard 1911 holsters, they must be specifically moulded for the rail and you won't notice any difference on the draw.

I realized they would need to be different hoIsters... just was worried that being so boxy and with the grooved rails they might print more, be more uncomfortable, and not draw as well.

Not at all, I sometimes carry a govt model w/rail in one of John Ralstons rigs or an Alessi CQC/S and there is no difference between the two unless of course it had a light mounted.
