I broke down a few weeks ago when Jason was selling these and decided to give one a try, to be honest I have never been a fan of this design with the last one I had being Lou's GWH. Upon receipt the first thing I noticed was how stout this rig was, John did his usual fine job with the construction the threading was perfect, detailing was excellent and it fit my TRP like it was moulded to it. As I said earlier, this design never suited me I always wound up selling everyone that I had (SS, SSII, GWH), for whatever reason, it just dug into my side, drove my sciatic nerve crazy and there was absolutely no doubt that I was carrying a gun. With the IBS, none of these issues happened, the TRP is a heavy weapon at 44 ounces unloaded but the IBS carried it without a problem and was extremely comfortable all day, every day. Personally, I lean towards IWB rigs that have a leading edge, sciatic flap or whatever you want to call it, think Alessi PCH or Nossar IWB3 the flap tends to stabilize the rig and puts or realistically takes away pressure from where you don't want it, the area by the sciatic nerve. The IBS design and I'm starting to think it has to due with the sewed belt loop alleviates the pressure and makes for a excellent basic, IWB rig for the 1911 platform although I'm sure it would do the same for any other pistol. Bottom line, Jason and John have collaborated on a new version of an old design that is perfect in it's simplicity. Thanks for making a believer out of me again!

torrejon224... Glad you're liking the rig. :) Keep me posted on how it works for you.

John and I have spent a good deal of time tweaking, refining, and making improvements over the initial prototypes and I truly think that, so long as one is comfortable with the S/S holster body design, you will like this holster. I have been using the final version for the last couple of months and most evenings I'm not inclined to take it off... I get some weird looks from my better-half for that one. :? By themselves the premise and ideas behind the rig aren't anything ground breaking but when combined such as they are in the IBS what we've achieved is a low-profile and rock-solid holster for real-life everyday carry.

Keep your eyes peeled for a full review coming in the next month or so.
