This is for one of our forum members.....a nice Gator Belt, with a bit of a dressy look to it.

John that is one classy belt. I do have a question concerning the durability of Gator on a belt, any idea of how it holds up with the sliding of a holster and mag carrier on it occasionally?

I really can't say for sure, but given the fact that the gators crawl around on their belly all day, I think it will be fine. It may develop light scuffs, but I think a little buffing with a soft rag will take care of those. On the holsters I have made, the hide was amazingly resistant to damage (during the making of the holster), and not near as fragile as I had expected.

John,

I'm stunned by your capabilities, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to own a piece of your amazing work. This belt will go perfectly with my tuxedo and my business suits for concealed carry. I still have to talk to you about having a matching pancake type concealed holster to match this for my Walther PPS .40. I can't wait to get this in the mail and see it in person. Thank you again sir, and again, I'm absolutely stunned by the products you provide, your amazing craftsmanship, and your support and engagement with your customers. There really are few craftsmen of your tenor and capabilities left in this world.

Sincerely,

Wintermute

I believe it is just a powder coating of some tipe on a standard brass buckle, but that was supplied by the customer. I need to see if I can find some like that for my regular belts....it is pretty sharp looking.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!!

I was not sure how it was going to turn out, and stitching that bad boy was VERY stressful - one mistake and throw out that expensive piece of gator and start again.

Everything went really smooth, and it turned out better than I had hoped for.

I love the belt. I think what really sets it off is the dark buckle. What type of coating is it? I think that would look really cool for a casual belt if it was natural colored leather with the black buckle. Very nice work indeed. I guess I should get my order in :D
