Sold off my J-frame. I'm moving on to a Kahr PM9 as a BUG. Anyone have experience or recommendations in who makes a good ankle holster for this pistol? How about a pocket holster? Thanks!

Alessi for the ankle rig.

PCS for the pocket holster (s).

Ken Null also makes a highly regarded ankle rig with a relatively short wait time.

I have always had luck with Kramer pocket holsters.

As for the pocket holster...you might also try K&D Holsters out of Florida. They have done a couple for me and do excellent work. I have been using their "Pocket Defender" with Gripper material for my Colt Pony for about 2 years now and it is fantastic!! They DO make it for the little Kahr in a couple of variations. Best of luck!--John

I really like this pocket holster from Mitch Rosen for my P3-AT, it's the PSF. If you look at the website it'll show you the other side that's covered in suede. Great quality and no complaints.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've got Alessi and Sherrick pocket holsters inbound soon. Will check on the recommended ankle holsters too.

I've been carrying the Kahr in the Sherrick pocket holster. It's a bit bigger than the Alessi and catches better on the draw. I found that with the Alessi, the holster tends to come out of the pocket with the gun. No knock on Lou. His holsters are beautiful and the fit is fabulous. I can take the gun and tip it upside down in the holster and it doesn't fall out (yes, I unloaded the pistol before trying this). It's just the size of the pockets on my suit and coat that are the issue.

I also tried out ankle holsters from the major makers, none of which were close-fitting enough to properly conceal the pistol when wearing a summer-weight wool suit. The Alessi ankle holster is a fitted holster, so I'm concerned I'll have the same problem. I checked out the Renegade holster, which doesn't have a fitted holster body - just a sewn section in the elastic. The sheepskin lining still makes it too bulky, although this design is headed in the right direction for my specific need. Not sure what to do about this, so I may stay with a pocket holster until Crimson Trace releases its laser module and I can start shopping around again when I need a holster than can accommodate the laser.

Hope everyone has a peaceful, joy-filled Christmas, Hanukah, or whatever you celebrate!
