Guys, I need some info. A Co-worker of mine would like to purchase an off-duty concealment holster for her son, who works for a Fed agency. This is a gift, so she asked me for help. She knows he wants an IWB, and I know that that it HAS to have a thumbsnap.... SO. Who makes an IWB with a snap? The only two that are coming to mind are the old Bianchi Pistol Pocket, and the Blocker LFI holster...I thinking something nicer.

I have never carried an IWB with a snap, but we all know anal our Federal cousins feel about Concealment and a thumbsnap.

Any help appreciated, we have about 5 months until his birthday, so that helps, but I need to figure out who makes one.

Thanks all

Just about all the mass producers do, Galco, Desantis, Biancie (sp?) - you can also usually get the custom ones with thumb snaps but the wait is very long. Sounds like your friend wants it right away. Any good gun shop should have what she needs.

Last holster I ordered from him only took a few weeks to get but things may have changed since then.

Ken Null makes the UNS which is an excellent IWB holster copied by many AND his wait period is short. While the UNS for auto pistols does not indicate a thumb break as it does for large frame revolvers, he also does custom work and will work with the client especially if law enforcement.

His work is top of the line as it has been for many years. Link below:

Just received an Alessi Hideout IWB with a thumb break for my HK P7. Beautiful rig and they can do a thumb break on any of their rigs.

Tucker - though again it's an option and last I knew Rob would say why bother but you can have it your way.

The McDaniels II comes with a thumb break option: http://www.andrewsleather.com/

I got one for my brother to use with his Sig and he's happy with it. You can change the angle to suit and it has interchangeable belt loops. Have one for a Commander myself without the thumb break and I'm happy with it.

+1 re Tauris. Mike is a great guy. A retired old school cop and present day craftsman to be sure.
