I notice the site is down? A friend was asking me if I knew what happened as he had a holster on order for some time now. Anyone know?

News from other forums suggests he's delivering his orders but is running somewhere like 1 to 1.5 years behind on his orders and has stopped taking orders.

OK thanks, I will let my friend know... The holster was ordered well over a year ago and now Mr Bulman has taken down his website, shut his Email and has no working #, I really think this is unfair to those customers who paid and are now left clueless as to what is going on. Also I think this looks bad for the forum as when people search his name he comes up as a Forum Leader here and many are feeling scammed by him over this (hey can you blame them he has not updated anyone, you would think he would post a webpage explaining this or something)

I also almost ordered from him a while back based on his status in here I am glad I didnt!

Jeremy - I can’t speak to customer communications but I wouldn’t quite jump to the conclusion that he has “taken down” the website. As I recall it was functioning on Friday and appears to still be a functioning domain name. One never knows, the company hosting the website may have an issue that has caused the website not to be viewable? That stuff is all above my pay grade but it has happened before... it is, after all, the internet.

Very good point Jason, I do know he has not been responding to people though which is bad.

Either way I am sorry he is having troubles, I am sorry his clients are frustrated and I hope it can work out quickly so everyone is happy.

Based on my experience with Josh, your friend should not worry he will receive his holster.

The wait time for my most recent orders from Josh was approximately 2 years. I think that his gear is worth the wait. I understand that the wait time is coming down as Josh is not taking new orders to catch-up with his backlog. While Josh's communications with customers could be improved, there are limitations as to what a one man shop can do and still make a reasonable living with reasonable work hours. After all, we are dealing with a $150 holster and not a $5,000 custom 1911, or GOD forbid a $$$$$ custom rifle. I knew all of this when I ordered from Josh and was resolved to be PATIENT. If T. Kanaley were the only person crafting gear at Milt Sparks instead of the approximately 7 craftsman currently working there, the wait time would be 3 1/2 years instead of 6 months!

If you keep trying 814-696-8615, you will eventually reach him. He is very pleasant to deal with. Anyway, I hope these ramblings will provide some comfort to your friend that he has not been scammed and that he will eventually receive his holster.

Regards,
John

Thanks, I will relay the message to my buddy he has nothing to worry about just to be patient.

Again I really think the big problem is lack of communication on Bulmans end but artists are strange and custom gunsmiths, leather guys are all artists so....

:)

Here is something to think about. Recently, as in the last two weeks, a couple of online gun discussion forums have gone down due to hackers. Glocktalk and Lightfighter were down for several days. Maybe these same hackers or copycats had gotten a hold of Bulman's site. I may be wrong, just sayin' ...

Edited to add: Lightfighter is still experiencing hackers problems. These hackers maybe targeting gun related sites.

Sorry but I have to reply to this. I placed an order from Josh on Nov 6, 2007. That is almost three years ago. And except for the initial thanks for the order email, he has not answered any emails, or phone messages I have left over the past 2 years, 11 months and some odd days.

I would not recommend him to anyone, period.

Has anyone been in contact with Josh Bulman lately? I have been unable to reach him either by email or phone.
