Gentleman,
I cant think of a more appropriate place to share this pistol than here. I was at an Ohio Gun Collectors quarterly show this past weekend when I came across a very unique custom build that caught my eye. The Gentleman told me the story of how he acquired the gun from the estate of Leo Donovan chief of Homicide for the city of Buffalo N.Y. He also stated he had a letter from Lou dating back to June of 2000 that verified Lou built the gun back in 1970 and traded it to Chief Donovan. Needless to say I had to have the gun and quite frankly I couldn't believe that it had sat through the show until Sunday afternoon without someone buying it. The pistol has a very unique serial # L.F.A. 01 and I have taken the liberty of posting a couple of pics with the letter signed by Lou describing how he built the gun and traded it for a Colt S.A.A I honestly cant believe my luck and am still in awe. I am thinking I should get holster made for her to complete the set. Thank you for letting me share
