I was wondering if anyone knows much about the Randall Fireman Special? I was just curious if this is a new design, and when it was introduced?

The fireman was introduced in 1980 as a non catalogued knife. They can I think still be ordered from the factory.

Yep, you can still order them from the shop. I found it a little big for daily carry, but a super stout knife! I went with a #10-3 in orange G10 for my daily carry knife while at work.

I would attach the Fireman Special to my bunker gear if I was going to keep it with me at work.
