Yep...saw two just today, although they are hanging in my closet...one black late model and one Vietnam or just post-vietnam era Canted Blade MKII in grey.....love these things. But seriously, I have seen some for sale online just in the last few weeks, I'll try and find the websites for you again, but be forwarned...many of these such as my Canted Blase are becoming collector's items and bring premium prices now. Best of luck in the search!--John

Not trying to be too smug, but I see one every time I open my gunsafe. :) They are hard to find, and even harder to find in great condition. Mine shows the signs of fairly heavy from use when I was in the USMC 1976-1980.

This is one of those cases where if you never told me about it, I would have never wanted one. But after reading a few sites where the MkII got such good praises I began my search for one. Hopefully I can find one within reason, otherwise the fiance is going to kill me! Can't remember where I seen it for sure, but someone made a shoulder holster for a 1911 and on the mag pouch side had a sheath for the MKII to be slid into also.

I've got one taking up space, Viet Nam era grey handle canted blade, used; if you are interested I'll dig it out.

FYI

I talked to the Gerber rep at the SHOT Show, and they are re-issuing the Mark II. He explained how you could tell them apart from the originals, but sadly I have forgotten the method - I recall it was very basic, but no details...

Gerber Mark II is a great knife! Im very fond of it's brother, the R.W. Loveless designed
Gerber Guardian II, especially the Camouflage with black blade. Here is a picture of one I
recently bought NIB Born 1983, 6 5/8 blade, 11 3/4 OAL :)

Another recent purchase. Gerber Guardian II (R.W. Loveless designed) - NIB Born 1984, 6 5/8 blade, 11 3/4 OAL :)

Great resource info site on all the Mark/Guardian Fighting Knives, that details the blade profiles,
sheaths, handles, Gerber Logo on the blades, and steel's through out production, includes tons
of super hi-res photos of all above.

There is a super rare pristine Viet Nam era Navy SEAL Gerber Mark II Dive, with orange handle/black blade,
thats featured in Mike Silveys Book, for sale on eBay. (Not mine)

Here's my find... got this off Craigslist a few years back. Always loved these as a kid, proud to own one. I am new here, so I hope I can figure out how to post a picture.

Sold 9 of them on eBay this year, had no use for them, in the mix was 3 R.W. Loveless designed Gerber Guardian II, 2 in Camouflage, 1 NIB stainless. The prices keep going up on all of them, especially the NIB or gently use Viet Nam era examples. I hope you find the one you're looking for. eBay is a great place to find them
