To all my buddies here....I want to thank everybody in here for the chance to be among other people who are kind, like-minded and caring. I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time here and feel like I am walking among giants, with men like Lou Alessi, Mr. Tighe, Mark Garrity, and many other folks who are like a who's who of the industries they represent! But most of all to my good friend Witherspoon, and Al Spears (who I have met twice and hope to get to know much better!) as much crap as I give you Chip, I hope you know how much I respect you and love being able to be in your company...it truly is an honor! I only wish that more of the other members here could meet you and Al in person to see that Honor and Integrity are still very much alive...there is much to learn from you gentlemen, and the others on here too.
To all of you......Thank You and I wish you and your Families a safe and Merry Christmas, and aHappy, Safe and Prosperous New Year!!!-----John :D

John,
The honor and pleasure is all mine! It is a wonderful treat to know people like you and Chip, among others. The true honorable knights of days gone by.

I thank you for that priviledge.

Merry Christmas,
Al

Sir,

Im not quite sure how my name could end up along side the fine folks you put on there, but thank you...The folks here on this site are an amazing group of people...not sure how I could express it and do it justice.

I would like however to make a request...tonight at dinner or tomorrow while with your loved ones, I would ask that you raise a glass to "Absent friends, may they all find their way home for next Christmas."

Be well all and Merry Christmas...

Jim

Perfect sentiments Jim. Are you in the states? Either way Merry Christmas to all!

BTW Jim, it would be great if you could make it to Shot.

Al and Jim...thanks so much! Jim, I don't know if you are aware as Al is, I am a full-time civilian police officer FOR the US Army, where it is my distinct honor to work with America's finest from all branches on a daily basis here at Fort AP Hill! I cannot express the tremendous love I have for all of "my" soldiers, sailors, airmen/women, and Marines that I work with and encounter on a daily basis, men and women much like yourself. I am truly blessed with the best job in the sense that I work with the military (I was medically unable to serve due to diabetes, but put up a 2 year fight trying to get in!!) and I am a police officer, which I truly love. I wish the whining civilians could come to work with me for a day and see the character, intelligence, and levels of integrity and professionalism that the US Armed Forces team has......although most would not understand what the price is or the amount of dedication and sacrifice you all make, but I do and THANK YOU!!! I hope you read me Lima-Charlie on that my friend. I would be honored to raise a bottle of Diet Pepsi whils on patrol tonight....while I have the honor of standing the wall here so that my handful of troops and their families may rest a little easier. And to second Chip's suggestion elsewhere on this site..if you EVER come down to AP Hill let us know....he and I will take care of you!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS Mi Amigo!!

Your not? Well maybe its because, at least in some of our eyes, your a true American hero! Representing the best ideals of this country and its citizens. Selfless acts of duty, honor, loyalty, courage......... .
Like the police officers who patrol our streets, without thanks night after night. Men like Chip, John, Steve. Military men, you, Chris, Buck and all the brave citizens who answered a calling no one else wants to do or is afraid to.

DON'T EVER SAY YOU DO NOT BELONG IN THE COMPANY OF THESE PEOPLE CAPT. TIGHE! YOU SIR, BELONG AT POINT!

I'd like to chime in with a Merry Christmas to all of you. Chip called me last night right after I had passed out. Hearing his voice saying, "Merry Christmas, Jim," was a pretty cool way to wake up. GOD Bless all of you, and thank you for being constant inspirations and reminders of what is good in this life.

Jim, itis always "cool" to have Chip around or hear his voice!! (But don't tell him, it'll go to his head!!), I was lucky enough to see him last night while I was working at the base when he stopped by the main gate for a bit. On Friday night he even came bearing gifts from the chief!! (He IS kinda fat and jolly......hmmmm?).

Jim just a few more words by one of the best Officers to ever have the honor of leading men in battle, great men such as yourself and your subordinates
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." -- George S. Patton
