As many know, we make something of a big deal of our annual trip to the SHOT Show. We try to stay at the same hotel, and travel in a pack (as weird as that sounds )

I posted the following for our smiths and their families - might as well let the general population know what we're up against this coming year. My advice would be to NOT procrastinate.



This year's Shot Show is Friday (Set Up day), Saturday, Sunday monday, and Tuesday. It's also Super Bowl weekend. I've been in touch with hotels and booking agencies, and a couple of things appear to be happening.

First, Prices are going to be high. Nothing we can do about that.

Second, Booking agencies are buying up blocks of rooms and jacking up the prices even further - speculating that we'll all wait until the last minute.

I talked to May Ann at the Tuscany, and she tells me there are still unblocked rooms available, but we should start thinking about booking soon. The rates are as follows... Feb 1, $169 - Feb 2, $189 - Feb 3, $129 - Feb 4 $89, and Feb 5, $89. This is $665 + tax, and is 35% less than the booking agent wanted for Tuscany and the same nights.

Tuscany will charge the first night's room + tax to hold your reservation, the balance paid as you stay next year.
