I'm not usually one to offer praise for what I believe is a necessity when you are talking about the purchase of anything high end , whether it be 1911s, hosters, watches, cars, etc, namely exceptional customer service. But occasionally, when the level of service goes so far above and beyond what one should reasonably expect, a note of praise is warranted. I should preface all of this by saying that in general, my dealings with the folks who frequent this board have been nothing short of outstanding.
I should make it clear also, that as far as potential clients go, I am a pain in the ass. In my dealings with the Yost-Bonitz shop I have on two previous occassions, had gun(s) in line and on both occassions, I have either pulled out after a period of time, changed my mind, asked too many questions, over communicated, under communicated or generally just made life more diffcult for those trying to actually get the work done. I certainly don't mean to, it's just that any time I am talking about spending $5k plus on something that essentially does the same thing that a $350 revlover can do, I tend to get overly involved in the process. Quite frankly, I am probably that way whether I am spending $5 on M&Ms or $50000 on an M3 but that neither here nor there at this point.
Having said that, I would like to offer my sincere appreciation for the efforts of Jason Burton in maintaining the very highest standards of cutomer service and communication. Again, Yo-Bo and now Heirloom Precision certaily doesn't need my business, espeically given what I disclosed above, and yet Jason has quite literally made me feel as if not only am I their most important client, but quite frankly, that I am their only client. He has been incredibly responsive to my questions and e-mails, has shared his thoughts and offered personal insight and advice on my various aspects of newest project. He has even extended the offer to assist me at a personal level with one of my requests (I will spare the details so as not to establish an unheathy precedent here).
In a world where even simple requests like "can I get a lemon with my water" are thought to be unreasonable at best, Jason continues to deliver the kind of service and relationship building that seems to have been lost with my grandfather's generation.
From what I understand he builds a hell of a .45 too. Thanks again Jason. You have certainly earned my business today and in the future. As I said in a previous e-mail I wish you, Ted and Steve all the luck in the world in your newest endeavor.
Regards,
Justin D'Appolonia
