Well, after interacting on the internet for quite some time, I FINALLY met the folks at Yost-Bonitz. I am in Arizona for a few days, and called Steve Bailey. He was courteous as could be (even got me a plumber on a Sunday to install a water heater!!). Met Lew Bonitz and Ted Yost........... just about the nicest, most friendly, courteous folks I have ever had the pleasure to be around. They were all busy, and treated me like I was a long lost cousin (who was sick, and had lots of money!). They all just couldn't have been nicer. They all took time from their BUSY schedules and after a few minutes, felt like I had known them my whole life. And their work....... REALLY clean, with meticulous attention to detail.
I just really can't say enough good about them and their attitude(s). If the anti-gunners could just interact with folks like these, things just might be a whole lot different. My hat goes off to each and every one of them.
Thank you for being such wonderfully gracious hosts. I truly do appreciate it.
Best to all,
Jeffro (Jeff Harris)

Jeff, you're a lucky man. I've been trying to convince my wife that I need to go down there to pick up a few things from Ted and Steve. However, with the Chicago weather and the fact my wife knows me too well, I probably wouldn't find my way home soon enough to make another mortgage payment. Good to hear that they are as nice in person as over the phone.

Jeffro - Sounds good. Its nice to know the people you are dealing with are not jerks. I'm looking forward to my vegas trip (happens to coinside with Shot 2005 :D :D ) when I get to meet the same guys and hopefully more people from this site.

Jeff, I have to agree. Despite what Theo always says, Lew is really a nice guy if you catch him after he's had meal with some meat. Glad you enjoyed their company, and hope you can make it to SHOT.

You are indeed one very lucky man. On my short list of thing I want to do while I am still able is to Give Ted a a big hug and the biggest thank you I can muster.

Most know the story so I won't go into it but, between my two Daughters , Ted and some of his other good friends I was given the greatest gift of all. Money can't buy it either. It was the truest act of unselfish kindness I have ever witnessed.

Through Ted I have made many more friends Ned, Lew, Steve are just a few.

Take care all and I can't make it to Shot Show but, I will be there in spirit.

Gary

Jeff,
It was our pleasure. You and I have talked of getting together for some time. Next time you have to stay longer. I got a letter from CYA today and appreciate that as well. We are lucky here on this forum. Great membership, the talent is obvious with the smiths, and we seem to attract the good guys.

This might be the most accurate statement in the thread.

You can often hear him purring like an African Lion.

Can't wait to meet all of you guys at Shot. Happy New Year.
