After months of preparation, Shot ’06 is now history and what an outstanding time it was! The LTW booth was extremely busy and the offerings displayed were more spectacular than last.

Ned Christiansen continues to make us wonder about how he manages to continually be so innovative. Ned doesn’t just think ‘outside the box’ – as far as he is concerned, 'the box’, doesn’t even exist.

Don Williams made us all scratch our heads with his surrealistic ‘ghost’ arrow serrations. Way Kewl!

Stan Chen raised the bar again with his exquisitely clean and detailed offerings.

Chuck Rogers, to no one’s surprise, spent most of his time wiping our drool from his beautiful customs.

Steve Bailey gave us peek into the mind of an up and coming artist. Get on this guys list NOW, folks! Before long you won't be able to.

John Harrison proved once again that his incredible talent must be seen and held to be truly appreciated.

Ted Yost displayed what you would expect, absolute elegance.

Tim Cronin from the Yo-Bo crew, ‘snake bit’ everyone with his astounding take down rifle.

In the ‘gun-bucket’ category:

The master craftsmanship and jaw-dropping eye candy of Lou Alessi.

Josh Bulman came out of the gate charging hard with some rigs that left absolutely nothing to be desired. His alligator offering was so beautiful, rumor has it that said reptile showed up on Josh’s doorstep and begged to donate his own skin for the project.

Alex Nossar, the ‘Peruvian land shark’, out did himself with one of the thinnest and lightest IWB holsters that I’ve ever had the pleasure of holding. I immediately ordered one from Alex and will post a full review with pictures as soon as he sends it up.

As if all of this wasn’t enough, there were the knives:

Trace Rinaldi had a few of his edged works of art there to astound the masses.

When Jim Burke danced in and started laying out his folders, I was blown away. These were the most eye-popping folders that I have ever had the pleasure of handling. Trust me when I say that I lust for one. Ask any one who got to handle them, they are spectacular. Period.

Missions Accomplished:

We presented a check in the amount of $20,000 to Ted Nugent for his Kamp for Kids. God bless each and every one of you who bought a ticket (or two, or three, or ten, or…).

Another $10,000 was raised for Terry Tussey through an auction. Thanks to all who bid and congratulations to the winner of this beautiful package. At the close of the bidding, Roy Huntington (editor in chief of American Handgunner) made the call to his dear old friend Terry and gave him the good news. We all got a chance to speak to him for a few minutes and let me tell you, that was an emotional event. After 8½ months in the hospital, Terry will be getting out this Friday and should by now have the check in hand to help with his expenses. God’s speed Terry.

After Hours:

A great time was had by all of the LTW family. As usual, the ladies were completely out of control. Once again, Idamarie Alessi took charge of making sure that everyone’s sides hurt from laughter.

Rumor has it that Jaime will soon be sporting a rock the size of Gibraltar on her left hand or Jason will be forever without any more Alessi leather.

This was Sheryl Bailey’s first time joining in the fun with the other ladies’ and she was her usual ‘nutty’ self.

Add Susan and Lori to the mix and you can rest assured that Vegas was shopped into oblivion.

Mr. Banker had us laughing so hard with ‘tales of his family tree’, that we were almost forced to give oxygen to Don and Layne.

A special thanks to Steve Jimenez for the wonderful dinner and get together you hosted for all of us!!! You ROCK!!!!

Great to not only see old friends, but to make new ones as well. A pleasure to meet some of the people from the LTW family and to finally be able to put faces to names.

It was an honor meeting and getting to know Al Shear (thanks Keith).

Last but not least, Capt. Tighe sent Ned an exceptional bottle of Irish whiskey so that the powers that be of LTW might gather for a toast. Miraculously, Ned didn’t drink said bottle before we all assembled and we were indeed honored to raise a glass to Capt. Tighe, currently stationed in Hajiland. God bless you Jim, and all of our troops who are unselfishly putting life and limb on the line so that America can remain the ‘Land of the Free’.

Start making plans now for Shot Show 2007 in Orlando, FL January 11th-15th. It will be the best yet!!!

Tim, thanks for the details and pictures for those who were there to enjoy it, and for those of us who could not be.

One thing's clear: the bar has been set a good bit higher this year. SHOT 2007 may be the best SHOT show ever for the LTW crowd, but it's going to take some doing!

I look forward to welcoming you all to Orlando next year, along with some of the other LTW forum members from Central Florida.

Buck

Ditto on everything Tim said, but he left out himself (no doubt due to his very shy demeanor).

As usual, Tim's stuff was flawlessly executed, his "Chopper" was damn near pawed to death by the masses, and the "suitcase set" may soon be headed down yon road to a lucky owner.

We hid Tim from the authorities when it was learned that he had once again wandered into Clark County, and they wanted to take him into custody for mental evaluation (just pity on our part - he really does have something wrong with him!).

Thanks to everyone who put up with us, and thanks again to Steve J. for a VERY fine parting sup!!

We are a lucky bunch. All kidding aside, Ted has done an excellent job of selecting guys that can work together with zero personality problems. Ted, I know you don't want the credit but every time I consider that LTW has and will become came from your desire to do good, well, I'm re-amazed. 'Nuff said.

And we have been fortunate in getting the notice of several people who can only be called LTW Supporters. You know who you are and thanks!

The LTW Ladies Shopping Brigade is awesome, too. Smart, fun, and something to look at!

Last and by way far, not least. First, in fact. All those people who took a chance and bought a ticket or two or ten. Thanks for your support!! If nobody buys tickets, LTW and the good things it does, well, it all dries up and blows away. Anyone out there who might be hesitant on the next one, because you haven't won yet, keep trying! The odds of winning an LTW raffle are incredibly high when you compare it to something like a state lottery! We'll be ganging up with some new charities in the year to come, doing some real good for some people who can use it-- we'll keep you updated as things firm up. Speaking of this-- I'd like to thank the Wizards of LTW-- these are the guys hidden behind the curtain, pulling the leversand turning the knobs, making all the sparks fly. They put in beaucoups hours making the calls, networking, and generally gettin' 'er done. Thanks guys, again you know who you are (and I probably don't know the half of it). Your contribution to keeping the LTW wheels turning makes my occasional tinkering with a gun seem insignificant.

Our industry supporters have helped considerably-- Roy Huntington and American Hangunner and American Cop come to mind immediately, there are more that maybe somebody can jog my memory about.

One more word to Ted, I don't want to say it so often it loses its meaning, but thanks for letting me in, LTW is a great ride!

Mr. Banker?! That's way to formal for me. "Your Eminence" works just fine, or if you prefer, Mark!

I've already sent Idamarie prrof to backup one of my stories. But I'm still trying to figure out how I can backup the family tree story without sending the family Bible. I'll think of something...

On another note, I want to thank all of the LTW gang for one of the best weekends I've ever had. I was truly made to feel like 'one of the family' from the moment I hit the ground. I made some wonderful friends in that booth. Thank you all for your kindness, generosity and hospitality.

CT, your speedometer picture sure shows that you were on some easy drivin' roads. We're going to come haunt you this spring sometime, and I think I'll keep my speed just a touch lower gowing over 'the hill'.

-Mark

I had the opportunity to attend the Shot show for the first time. I must say the LTW booth was an outstanding display of what a man can do with a file. :D The greatest pleasure for me was meeting the Gentlemen of LTW, some of their family members. friends and working associates. I am a firm believer the the Gun industry has no finer group of men. We should all consider ourselves fortunate to be able to own one of their pieces of art.
Thank you Gentlemen for a great time.
Steve Jimenez

I didn't get to attend this year, but last year they at least had the "calendar girls" next to them  so there was other things besides pistols, rifles and Uncle Lou's leather to look at :D

Steve, We don't just use files - Chuck is a self confessed "Dremel jockey". :D Glad you could make it.

One glaring oversight was brought to my attention about this thread.

Tim had something nice to say about everyone else, but somehow the topic starter got left out.

Does anyone have anything nice to say about Tim? Speak up, come on!
All kidding aside, CT Brian is one of those guys I want standing beside me when friends are counted. Beneath that biker xterior is a heart of gold. And what he can shape gunmetal into is simply amazing! Its like pouring liquid steel into a mold and a working gun comes out!

Tim, thanks for a great time!

Al

I was with you, in spirit. In fact, I am sure I can accept responsibility for some of Burton's antics after hours. Quiet as kept, we are both slightly demented, and I had my voodoo in full-effect!

In all seriousness. I never made it a secret that Tim was part of the formula that made me. Never dreamed I'd be chums with him and never really realized we are about the same age. If I had only one thing to say to Tim it would be, sure wish I'da had the guts to go into this full time back when you did!

It's great knocking back a few with a guy who's been in every gun magazine what ever was.

Not from the stories reaching back up here !
Actually, congratulations to the entire LTW crew and support-- You're all the epitome of selflessness.
