Hello to all -

Just wanted to say hello and let you know how much I enjoy this site. I'm a young guy (28) but have a crazy love affair with both the 1911 and the Hi Power. Love to see all the beautiful old-school and new-school pix. My only complaint is that there are not new pictures posted every couple of hours. :P

Keep up the great work, and thanks for the great site/resource!

Mr. Yost - spoke with you on Friday, I think it was, regarding a MSH - thanks for sharing the info.

Mr. Berryhill - The USMC and I are congenitally bound at the heart - cannot wait to see one of your MEU(SOC)'s. Sent you an email regarding a black park or black spray/bake BFP - thanks for taking the time.

JB

Hi City Dude. just read this and your other post about grips. Personally I got away from rubbery grips, mainly because the tackiness works against you in some ways, for concealment anyway.... they tend to stick to a shirttail or coat and not let it hang free over the gun. The other thing is, although Pach. grips have been around long enough now you could almost call them "classic", I've just taken more of a liking to grips with more of a "made" look, and there are so many choices. I'm liking the Micarta too, there are several choices there, everything from the Navidrex with no linen or canvas reinforcement, and you can ge them smooth or checkered a couple different ways, to the Simonich which I think you said you don't care for the pattern, to Duty Rated, which are smooth with a slightly different profile.

Me, I like thin grips on everything these days, but that's just me.
