I just wanted to keep anyone that was interested posted. I've just returned from leave and while I was there I picked up a package that had been sitting at my house waiting for me for some time....

The CQC-5 is a great little knife and I debated over bringing it to this Sh##hole. I do remember the purpose behind getting it so; I packed it away and brought it back with me. Great little knife!!! It has about the smoothest movement of any knife I in my memory and a hell of an edge on it. I never intended on using it for anything bigger than opening a box...but as the rule goes when you need something in a hurry, you use what’s at hand and the little CQC-5 is just handy enough never to be left behind. Well, it got through some heavy cutting and is no worse for wear.

I plan on taking a couple pictures of it but since I’ve been back I haven’t had a heck of a lot of time with the camera...but Ill get through that soon and get some pictures up.

Mr. Crowder, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you once again. I'll keep the sprit of the gift and will continue to use it. However, I have something special planned for it when I return home.

Take care all and have a wonderful Holiday. :D

Jim

Jim,

You are very welcome. Take care, and if you can, enjoy the holidays, and please tell everyone serving with you that we thank them and hope for their safe return.

As a long time Emerson Custom collector I can assure you that the CQC5 is a great little knife and one that has been very difficult to obtain up until about the past 5 years or so.

Carry it in great health!
