-small rant-

Everytime someone asks a question that the moderators don't like or is about a semi custom/production gun the post gets deleted or locked. I don't understand this. Once in a while I would like to know what the 'smiths think of a certain production gun or in my case removing a firing pin safety. I asked the opinion of the group (not because I want to but looking for information) and it was just deleted with no reason.

I would like to see a section that allows us to talk about issues that are not directly related to one the members custom guns. This website is full of knowledge and I would rather ask the members here than the internet commando's that frequent most of the other sites.

-rant off-

Bryan,

Here's the general rule:

If that doesn't cover it for you, let me know.

One of the great things about this forum is the lack of clutter that you see elsewhere. Mark, please keep it that way.

It's not at all difficult to find posts about semi-custom or production guns. All the other forums have them.

We don't, and we won't.

Believe me, it's not just me trying to keep this place organized.

It's the entire crew. They catch a lot of things I miss because I can't be online 24 hours a day.

We try very hard to keep the focus about the things LTW does and use the forums as a place to discuss what LTW is about. It's a place to highlight the member's work as well.

We will never be able to keep everyone happy due to our extremely narrow focus. But that was a conscious and deliberate decision that we made at the very beginning.

If a question isn't getting answered in a manner that you feel is suitable, get on the phone and call any of the gunsmiths here. They all run professional shops and will be more than happy to discuss your issues. I know, I do it occasionally myself!

ps, I am not a gunsmith, but I sleep at Holiday Inn once in a while.

Thanks guys, I'm not looking for "clutter" type posts. I just can't beleive that if someone asked about brand X internals and what should be replaced that the folks here would lock the thread. I'll just go back to reading and keep these kinda thoughts to myself I guess.

Ted - off topic, do you have SA GI's available for the 1* package? What is needed from one to get in line?
