On September 1, 2007 DRTG will be conducting 1911 Armorer course at Midwest Gun Exchange. Ned Christiansen will be the lead instructor. This class is an outstanding opportunity for 1911 shooters to come out and learn more about their weapon from a real world professional.

This course is designed to teach the student how to disassemble, assemble, and maintain the 1911 style pistol. It will cover all the common malfunctions and breakages as well as some of the harder-to-discern wear and durability areas. This is not a course on how to be a custom gunsmith, but rather a course designed to help users of 1911 style pistols identify, analyze and solve problems.

Students interested in renting a 1911 may, will be able to through Midwest Gun & Range. The cost for this rental will be $10.00, and advanced notification is required to ensure a rental 1911 is available.

These classes are always a great learning opportunity as well as a lot of fun for everyone who attends; we are looking forward seeing you all there.

I thought I remembered that Ned was going to do a course in Wyoming soon, does anyone have any info on when that is going to happen.

We are shooting for an earily Oct. date. I am firming up a few things on our end out here in the sticks. I need to give Ned a call...on the list of stuff to do on Monday.
