What about a "semi-custom" section? I've got several pistols worked over by contributors here, but are not full custom builds, some have work by several well-known smiths. It would be nice to share their work too!

Tracy -

Semi customs are something we've intentionally avoided here. Semi's are covered well on the other boards, but you'll have to admit, no one covers full customs very well at all. When Jason posted pics of a nice full house custom on another board he received an email telling him not to do it again unless he paid the site's owner for the privilege.

I see nothing wrong with sharing ideas or images of guns you've had work done on, especially knowing you've got Chuck on speed-dial

The idea is not to appear snobbish, (although we get accused of that once in a while) but instead to keep the focus on the kind of guns we all enjoy - the ones you don't find everywhere else!

Thanks for the ideas - I hope you continue to enjoy it here.

Thanks Ted, I get it. I've shared my prized hybrids on other sites, and they were well received. I understand your position, you elitist ***! I'll see you at the SHOT Show my friend!

Truth be told that is way I am so happy that I've found this site. The work shown here is so nice and typically so far above semi-custom that there is no comparison. That said most of the work starts from a standard type of frame work, one cannot deny that. So I guess my question would be when is a hybrid actually a custom. For you Tracy have a couple of very nice pistols that I feel could be shared. Just one mans opinion.
