Thanks alot Mr. Brian! While doing my daily drool over the guns on your websight today, My wife spied your Sidewinder over my shoulder. She told me I can get my Combat Commander worked over after I "buy her one of those!" :D I guess I will have to start saving my pennies. Momma usually get what she wants around here! You seem to have picked up another fan today!

A quick question for Tim. In your first picture I noticed that the sidewinder on the cover of the magazine has an internal extractor while the other one had an external one. Given the horror stories making the rounds regarding Kimbers extractor issues of late how are the ones with the external extractor working for your, or is it a non-issue?

They suck. I loath them. At least the Kimber's. The solution for a problem that never existed.

The big reason for the SideWinder in the above picture having one is because it belongs to my wife. Like many of the LTW family, as a married male, I know that I have no opinion when faced with such wisdom from the bride as, "I want that one." She fell in love with the serial number on said Kimber, since her SideWinder is number 004. When I tried to disuade her from that particular Kimber (because of the external extractor), she gave me the only logical answer needed. "I want that one."

Note to any non-married members: The above is a true story. Trust me on that. Ask any married member, and they'll back me up.

The Caspian's are quite a bit better, but given my druthers, I'm still old fashioned enough to like internal extractors.

If my wife told me to buy a Sidewinder....I would weep with joy. She still gives me the hairy eyeball when I spend the entire weekend at YoBo.

I don't know who she thinks she is. Besides the other ruler of my universe. :P

Tis true Tim - and you know she is only 5' nothing tall.

But I intend to distract her with . . . well I will try to think of something. If not I'll need to order a second one.

If I had the duckets in ready supply now, that would be an awesome idea. That way we could get sequential serial numbers.....hmmmmm I smell a plan coming to gether. :D

Jeff

Mine is great at comming up with the idea but not so good at comming up with the $$$!! :x I am sure she will eventually get it because, as Tim said, "She Wants It!" 'nuff said.

You're preaching to the choir here. All rationality goes out the window when the wife sees something she absolutely has to have. Thankfully, it isn't too often or I would have an ulcer. For those of you who aren't married you will learn one day to simply nod your head and say yes dear. To do anything else is to waste your time.
