I know this has been asked before, but I could not find good info. I know it is better to use the normal grip bushings with normal grips, but will the grips hold up OK with slim bushings? I don't want to remove my thin bushings from my TRS?

I know that if you put regular wood grips on thin grip bushings and tighten them down a bit to much they Will split. Don't ask me to admit to How I know that, though.

I won't ask :) I was thinking of going to Alumagrips or G10/Micarta for that reason.
