My first venture into the world of custom guns has begun. I sent my Colt to the fine craftsmen at Yost~Bonitz. I’d like to thank the fine folks on this forum for the help and also the patience of Lew, Mr. Bonitz, I believe. He was helpful and most kind while answering what must have been silly questions, at least to a man of his knowledge and abilities. Again, sir, thank you!

I chose one of the packages they offer with some added features. I was torn between two of the fine pistol smiths that frequent this forum and the choice wasn’t an easy one. If it is possible to set aside the workmanship of the fine smiths, one other belief I developed was that the men a Yost~Bonitz would offer suggestions if I’d made a mistake. Frankly, it is slightly overwhelming, the choices you have with custom work. I know what I like. I know what I want and why I want it. My problem was that I wasn’t sure of the proper path to get there. The quality workmanship and that belief that expert guidance would be available, had I made a mistake, is why I chose these craftsmen.

if you have the means, you'll end up with pistols from most of these guys anyway.

Your about to step on to the slippery slope.! If your like me, one won't be enough, custom guns need company. Congrads you'll be very happy when it returns.

I've found Y-B to be a pretty easy bunch to deal with, and I like their results. Alot. I'm waiting on a Caspian custom job from 'em, and had them do work on a Delta Elite and a Python for me in the past.

Oh, and I'm a pain in the ass. So if they put up with me, it should be smooth sailing for anybody else.
