Not sure how to start this question. I've got the option to start a custom build on either a steel Commander or stainless steel Govt model. I shot them both yesterday. When both shot with Winchester white box 230 fmj, to me the Govt feels like a push vs a quick, brisant, jab with the Cmdr. The muzzle "flip" with the Govt seems to roll over higher and slower than the Cmdr which is quick and shorter. I know for a fact the Cmdr has a 20-lb recoil spring in it. Not sure of the Govt, which seems less than 20-lbs.
What's your shooting impression with both?
