I can't speak for book values, but I'd consider the Pachmayr about 100x cooler. 8)

Are these guns, by some magical chance, located in Kali? Depending on the condition, etc, I'd be interested in whichever one you don't purchace.

Owning or having owned models of both of these, I would say it comes down to what YOU want. The price, depending on condition, is reasonable for the ASP and a very good deal for the Pachmayr. Realize, also, that there were two distinct versions of the ASP based on time and location built. If it has any of the accessories that came with it that makes it more desirable. With the Pachmayr there was a basic Combat Special package that could be added to. If its on a Gold Cup, I'd be curious as to what sight they installed and how it was done. As to coolness factor, 10 years ago there wasn't anything much cooler than an ASP with people in the know. Recently, with the retro 45 craze, the early 'combat pistols' are highly coveted. If you find out more or can get pics, let us know. You can contact me direct if you prefer.

Thanks for the posts. The dealer has had theses for a while. I have looked at them for about a year but never paid a lot of attention. As for the ASP I think he has only has 2 mags. The Pachmayr isn't like the one posted here a few months back. It has been refinished with a coating like Cobra coating or metaloy it also has a very wicked looking bushing. I think this is the Pachmayr Signature model.

TJ,

Check your private messages for some details on the ASP.
