I want a 5in target sighted gun, but at the moment dont know if I can afford what I want. My other thought is having a 5in slide built for my Kimber AL lower. How much does it normaly cost just to a slide fit? Also would it be a good idea to call a smith' and see if they have something like that left over from a previous project? I still want to use my 4inch slide on my pistol as well. I seems like when I start adding up quaility parts that it always ending up being way more than a 5 inch target model would be like Springfields Black Stainless PX9152L, the problem is I dont like stainless, and I really dont like the surface ground and "black" stainless job they do, although I can get one real cheap. Am I looking at this wrong? How much should I expect for a Bo-mars and a kart barrel on a 5 inch slide?
