I bought an SRP that has the MMC/LBC adjustable night sights. The sights are weak as it is a 97 production gun. Does anyone know if Novaks or any other sights fit this cut. If not can the tritium inserts be replaced ?

I haven't personnally tried but there are several posts on another forum indicating that Novak's will fit. You should be able to get a set of sights through Baer too. Tool-tech in Oxford, Michigan does replace tritium vials, but I'm not sure if they work on MMC sights.

Novak's Lo-Mount rear sight, or any other made to fit that same cut will fit, most likely needing minor fitting. You may also get into changing the front sight, depending on how high up that MMC is cranked and how tall the OEM front sight is. You can also go to Novak's adjustable front sight with one small mill cut in front of the existing dovetail.

That front should also be a Novak cut, but the roll pin is put into a blind hole, requiring that it be drilled out before you can remove the front sight.

Those are still under warranty, I lost the contact info., but I had a 1998 SRP and MMC replaced the rear vials at no charge. The front sight on that gun is probably a Trijicon, MMC did not replace that on mine because it was'nt their sight so I sent it to Trijicon and they did it for free also. Just do a search on MMC sights IIRC they are Las Vegas now.
http://www.mmcsight.com and use the phone number as they did not do real well at answering the email. Also MMC customer service could have cared less if I was the original owner or the tenth owner of the gun.

I believe the Heinie SlantPro's should fit too (the one for a Novak cut)!

Thats what I love about this forum. I would have never thought about a warranty. Looks like they have a 15 year. If not I may switch to the Heinie. Thanks to all.

You might want to order them from Baer. His sights are shorter, front to back than a Novak, so a Novak may sit off the back of the gun.
