Looking for ideas. Had this one traded. The customer did a lot better research than I did and found out this thing has alot of miles on it. Like 110,000 miles. I went back to my old emails thinking the guy I bought it from mislead me but apparently I didnt do my homework. Anyway, it runs like a top. I have run a couple hundred through it. But with the mileage it will be hard to sell. So I am thinking about using it for a base gun. Any Ideas? I dont see any flaws with it. What should I check before I start throwing good money after bad.

Gary, the 'smiths can answer the technical questions. I have and carry a TRS thats over 5 years old and close to 50k rounds now. Other than finish and normal lap wear the gun is sound as any I have.

Is it your opinion you came out on the short end of the trade? I'd send it to Baer for 100,000 mile service check and get worn parts replaced and tolerances checked for out of spec wear, get it refinished, new sights and keep it. Or sell it for the small loss as is, @ $1200-$1300 that gun would go.

I always try to buy them where I can play with them and turn a bit of a profit when I move on to the next toy. Didnt really come out short because I bought it at decent price. But high mileage guns are tough to sell. Since we do 99% of our business on the net our reputation is critical, so I disclose any info I am aware of. I am thinking instead of sending it back to LB I will have one of the guys here go through it and maybe make a few minor changes as well as put it back to new.

FWIW I own two LBC pistols and have been pleased with them. If you are planing to sell this pistol, I would recommend you send it to LBC (as was reccomended by “6285108”) to get it up to snuff. Most potential buyers would be loyal Baer customers and would appreciate the work being done by his shop. I have been more than happy with the work LBC has done to tune my two guns.

Best,
Jim

And you'll have the work order from Baer showing exactly what the maker of the pistol found in need of R/R. Gary, I have a couple of guns that maybe we could work a deal on for that high mile SRP. I'll PM you.
