Today, a local range held a benefit match, 1/2 IDPA and 1/2 USPSA. I've been so focused on USPSA Open division for the past year and a half that I've neglected my ol' trusty rusty Baer 1911
(trusty thanks to Ned Christiansen
). So, I dragged it out, wiped off the cobwebs, oiled 'er up and shot it for the IDPA portion. WHAT A BLAST!!! I'd forgotten how fun a basic, simple, single stack was!
Anyhow, I have this 1 year old, never been fired, also neglected Rock River Limited Match lying around.
(beautiful gun, thanks to Damian Worthy
) I reeeeaally like this gun but haven't shot it because I figured it would have a higher resale value than the Baer. I just didn't need both if I wasn't even shooting one of them.
SOooo... my idea today was... how about converting the RRA into 9mm, solely for competition purposes? What does that entail? Would it be worth the time/effort/cost to have that done or would it be better to just sell it and start anew?
Thanks, y'all!
