Any help on this would be great. I am looking for a single stack long dust cover frame to match a 6" slide to the muzzle or slightly back. Basically a "monolith" 6" gun. Call me crazy. I have contacted caspian and Gary told me they used to make an extended dust cover frame but that it wasn't a seller so they quit making it. If any of you guys have one gathering dust let me know. I also contacted STI and they make one but I have never built on an STI single stack so I have no frame of refrence about their frames. SV makes the frame but will not sell "just a frame" only a complete gun. This gun will be a PPC auto and I am trying to achieve a heavy gun with more "dead" weight distributed to the front but not in the slide. I already have the plans for my "Ultimate Blaster" contained in my head. I am looking for any help in regards to a long dust cover frame, carbon steel, no light rail, square or round profile cover, standard or extended frame rails, W/N or C/P ramped I dont care or even unramped. Any help is much appreciated. And hopefully the X ring god will look on my project favorably! Thanks guys. Any suggestions are great and if you have a PPC auto in the 1911 style I would like to see it.

The only ones I found were STI (cut for ramped barrel) and Les Baer (non-ramped). Both are carbon steel only. The Les Baer come in two weights but both are spendy as they come with checkered front straps.

Why you don't consider soldering a dust-cover extention piece cut from a old frame???
