I have posted a few pics of this before, but it is in the presentation case winging its way to the customer as I write this. This is one of the more complete HP workovers that I have done and it will truly be one of a kind. Please note the stippled heavy bevel on the slide bottoms, stippling down the center of the slide flats, borders and thinning of the front bushing and stippling and heavy front bevel. Relieved slide stop pin hole, and so on. I will not post the complete build list here. It has all of the good stuff and about a 3 3/4 crisp trigger pull and is a shooter. I am hoping the customer likes it as much as I do. It would have stayed in my safe had it not been already payed for :D

Um, Wow! I really like that. Looks like that was alot of work. What type of slide stop is that? I just checked out your web site. Looks like its coming along. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the packages as you introduce them. Thanks for sharing pics.

Jess, wonderful work!

I'm not a fan of the stippling on the muzzle end or on the slide bevels, but I DO love the stippling on the top of the slide and back of the slide!

Gorgeous work, is it hard chromed and who did it?

The finish is matte hard chrome. It was done by Virgill Tripp. I did all of the metal work and prep and then just had him hard chrome the gun and 3 mag tubes. The slde stop is the hard chrome Cylinder and Slide. Thanks for all of the kind words. I just keep coming back here and being awed by the work of the other smiths here. This one did take a lot of time and a lot of close work, but I am sure that some of the outrageous and gorgeous machine work that I see on most of the other pistols takes a lot more close work and attention to detail. This one was meant to be one of a kind and that is why we did a few things that are a bit on the edge.

WOW! I love all of the stippling. I did not think that I would like the look of a hard chromed BHP but I was wrong. It looks great!!!

As the very fortunate :D "customer" identified here, I have to let you know that the pictures do not begin to do justice to this incredible HP. Jess is an extremely talented craftsman and genuinely nice guy. He is not predisposed to doing things "his way," but truly wants to satisfy the customer. That is not to say that he won't speak up if he knows your tracking off course. I'd love to claim that this was a collaboration of my thoughts and his, but in all honesty this pistol is 99% Jess. On those few occasions that I thought I might have an original idea/input, he was already ahead of me. I think you've probably figured out that I'm 110% satisfied. While an early snow has kept me from getting out and putting some rounds down range, I'm confident that the accuracy and reliability will equal the external artistry.

Jess, I've got the "HOTS" for a custom 10MM.....are you up for it?

That is really nice.

I also like your DIY checkering on your web site. Very informative. I just don't think it'd go as smoothly for me as the pics make it look.

Good luck
