Thinking about sending my Nighthawk GRP to Yost Bonitz to create the ultimate gun. Sharkskin stippling is definitely going to be one of the modifications. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Doesn't your GRP already have a frontstrap treatment? I'd imagine that your GRP is pretty much finished as is, and I'd just save up for a seperate Yost gun.

I too couldn't imagine spending $2000+ on a gun and then sending it in to modify. I would just send a stock gun and get it modified exactly how I want. I don't know exactly what is (or isn't for that matter) already done to a GRP so I can't help too much with suggestions.

I agree with the first poster however. Get your spot on the list and then find a nice Colt for a base gun. I really like the new roll mark guns but would love to send a Delta Elite or early commercial Colt to have Ted work over as a signature grade.

Obviously it is your choice and your money but I would keep the GRP as a nice "semi-custom" and have a full blown custom done. Not to mention, with the GRP already having a lot of mods it limits a 'smith's options for modifying it.
