I currently have my first 1911 pistol being worked on by one of the great LTW 'smiths, and as I read through all the info and look at the fantastic pics posted I wonder what a "full house" build is? I have seen the "full house" description on pistols with various mods, some with more modification than others. I see this description on pistols for sale as well. Thanks for the time, hope I put this in the right section.

I consider a full house build to be a gun that is only using the frame, or frame and slide, everything else is replace with quality parts that hard customed fitteed. The frame fit to the slide is also done is needed.

Full house is pretty much a full on build. Including the kitchen sink :wink:.

Whoa! That prettty much answers my question, thanks for the answer and the link. That pistol is a work of art and gives a great definition of the term "full house".
