First off, let me apologize if this is not the appropriate place to post this question. I would like to know if and how much it would cost to fix my Colt slide. The recoil plug hole is either off center or the slide is not polished evenly. The thin side mics out at around .0540 and the thicker side is around .0620. It almost appears that the barrel bushing hole is off as well. I'm not sure. Anyways, can this be fixed, if so, around how much, or am I better off getting a new slide. The slide is sloppy as well, Colt craftsmanship at their finest. I bought it used, so warranty is out of the question. Thank you and sorry for my rambling on.

Ah, the trademarks of recent Colts. :?

Call Colt... more than likely they will tell you to send it in.

I have a LW Commander built in 1978 that has the same Trademark. Probably the same guy on the payroll.

It isn't just recent Colts. I have a Springfield that is 3 years old and it is slightly off center, not as bad as this one but still noticable. I still like the gun anyways even if it is slightly out of whack. Then again some might say that I am to. :D

Well, I shipped it back to Colt this morning. Hopefully, it'll come back fixed up and ready for LOTS of rounds. Thank you for those who replied.

I had two Colt's with that problem and I sent them in and they came back perfect in less than 30 days. Very good customer service.
