Patent-pending two-piece grip safety. It does away with this little phenomenon that many 1911 shooters have where there is a problem getting the grip safety disengaged.

I happen to be the lucky owner of that little blaster. I have said problem with grip safeties, such that all those I depend on have the grip safty "sensitized." After a couple of days of draw and dry-fire, I have yet to have the dreaded grip safety malf with this design.

I plan to find out what ammo it shoots most accurately with, and then do some long-range target work.

Pat, start with some 1952 Egyptian stuff if you have any. That way it can only get better!

Ned, does it work well with a weak hand hold?

No probs weak-hand. If it ever goes into production the bottom part-- where the memory bump is-- will cross over to the left about 2/3 the way. I've done them like that before but I believe that what I made this one from was my very first proto.... wanted to get 'er done for the SHOT Show.

Mmmm, 1950s Egyptian. Some real tack-driving ammo there. The last batch I used only had about 50% of the primers pierce, and was so corrosive I couldn't oil fast enough to keep things from rusting before I got home.

I've got a few cases of it, you want some?
