After seeing that super nice P220 a while back,iI thout i would post a pic of my Sig P225.Guy had it for dale for the longest time on Sig Forum, and asking price just kept droppng.,so I finally jumped on it.It has a bunch of work by Arizona Responce Systems.completly dehorned, coated in their Metacol III coating, which BTW,is darn near rock hard, dont understand why you dont hear much about it.Barrel was recrowned, action smothed up a bunch, which 225's most definatlyneed.Square trigger guard rounded offlighter springs.Barrel area at ejection port jeweled.Factory Sig contrast sight in rear, green night sight in frontThis little Sig is crazy accurarate

I would have liked it better if they hadn't rounded the trigger guard. But thats just me.

Not to trip up your thread, but here is a S&W M&P that I did a while ago, just to show that it is not all 1911s that get run through the shop. I will post it to a different thread. I have several "non" 1911s to show. Hope you all don't mind.

Greg...that's VERY nice indeed! I have always had a soft spot for the little P225....the one I owned/carried for a brief time was more accurate than I could hope to achieve, and was a joy to carry all day. I truly wish I had bought the one that RCColt had for sale on here a while back, but the finances just didn't allow it at the time. One day though...maybe a YoBo P225 might be a possibility??

Greg,

Do you ever happen to go out to Red Castle Gun Club? If so I might like to meet up with you, if you wouldn't mind, to see this gun in person. I have a 225 sitting in the safe that might benefit from some TLC  I'd like to see the difference.

Thanks,
Rob

That's nice!
I had one for a while, and thought it was a great size. BUT, it had the worst trigger of an Sig I've ever tried. You said something in the original post that sounded like that was typical with them- is it?
I always wondered what it would look like with the trigger guard rounded. It looks good.

Barry,

Yes,the 225's had awful triggers probobly 12+ in da,SA was pretty closeto the other Sigs,When I got this one ,the previos owner said it was down toaround 9.During the work ,notrigger parts were replaced, just smoothed up real good anda bit weaker mainspring. When I picked up this one,I had a factory225,after shooting them both,I had no reason to keep them both,as the "custom" one just smoked the factory gun all the way around, and I ended up selling it,got my money back out of it :D
I like the 225 much better than its replace ment, the 239.The 225'sjust had more personality,239,on the other hand was just another nice pistol that did all the stuff it was supposed to,like all the earlier Sigs.

the pictures really dont do it justice,it has turned out to be a fine weapon.Funny thing is that this gun floated around the for sale section on the Sig forum forever, having many price drops.I finally said WTH and got it for $500.The coating it is done with is amazingly tough,I will be having another pistol or 2 recoated by these guys.!Also ,the pivoting take down lever all SIgs use,and always leaves the half moon wear pattern, not even a hint on this one.I am pretty happy with this inexpensive little Sig.
