I know I've seen some but can't find them via search. Anyone have photos of guns like Baers with the shallow front cocking serrations removed (giving it a HP look in front)? Thanks.

Here is a couple of pictures of one that Tim did. This is one of the most "WOW" guns I have ever seen. I believe it is now residing in Colorado with a very lucky owner.

Thanks Schlamoo. You're the best. I don't care what the others on this forum say! :P

Question for Tim (who's probably lurking out there):

Was this a Baer frame with SLANTED front and rear cocking serrations that you milled of both and the added VERTICLE rear serrations?

The LURKER.......Image

Actually, when I started on that slide, it was completely bald. No serrations of any kind.

Thanks Tim,
Do you think that this slide treatment can be achieved by milling of the front AND rear cocking serrations (then adding verticle serrations in rear) of a RRA or Baer factory slide? Pretty sure front is no problem, but what about the rears?

I'd be afraid of getting too close to the land of no return with regards to the frame rail cuts...

Just another example of browning cuts.

Well, I guess slanted rear cocking serrations and a verticle Browning cut doesn't look bad at all. I may have to see if the RRA shallow front cocking serrations aren't too deep for this treatment!

That is, without exception, the nicest looking 1911 I have ever seen.

Absolutely perfect.

Thanks. I appreciate that. Here's a link to the original thread that has a few more pics of it.

Here's a quick photo of a match Dan Wesson that Bob Miller worked on for me.
