Trying to figure out my new camera. So took a couple of snaps of my favorite pistols.

I'd say that you just about have that camera figured out. Great BHPs by Mr. Yost, as usual 8) .

Very nice. It looks like you had trouble decicding which way to go on a couple of details, so just got both! Good thinking.

Thanks Berry.. I bought the older one from a board member a couple of years ago and liked it so much that I had the SRT done this last summer. I'm on Ted's list for a SRT in hard chrome so I guess I still can't make up my mind

Nice pistols, Walt. I'm kinda partial to the SRT. Pictured below is the prototype SRT BHP. When Ted originally built it many moons ago, it had a beautiful blue steel finish. When Tripp annonunced he was getting out of the hard chrome business, I sent it back to Ted to have it chromed before Tripp shut down. Although I prefer blue (and have a few blue SRTs), this is the one I carry. It's wearing Spegel Delrin grips, which are nearly indestructable. This one has a couple of thousand rounds down range and it still looks like new. Regards, SRT

Hello SRT,

Yes sir they are nice. I appreciate your thoughts and the pics of the prototype. I really like the beaver tail as my index finger on my right hand is cut off at the second knuckle. Thus my middle finger is my trigger finger and the beaver tail allows me to get a good grip without getting bitten to pieces.

The specifications that make it an SRT are what make it a pleasure to shot and Ted's trigger work can't be beat. I'm looking forward to my hard chrome model.

Thanks for the post and happy trails.

Walt..

I have a Novak BHP that I think I will be selling to get one of Teds BHP's. He is just amazing with his builds.

Wow, I have a full house Novak (and a lightly customized C&S, technically my wife's) and am craving a Yost signature grade. No way I could part with either to get one though. Parting is not painless. It is just better for me to save up a little longer and still have the others. I have been to Regretsville far too many times for letting something pass through my hands to do that these days.

I just purchased the HP Practical that will one day soon be going to Ted for signature grade goodness.

Thank you Gander Mountain MasterCard rewards vouchers! I have been able to sneak a few by the wife this way....they're nearly free is a potent argument.
