I've wanted a gun built by these guys for a long time. I got on their list a while ago and when Jason called me, I sent him a new Colt S70 reissue. This is what I got back. I've only had a chance to put 200 rounds through it and all was as expected. Every time I look at it I find another new detail. I'm a very happy boy. I'm going to shoot the hell out of this thing. Pictures were taken by Jason and posted with his permission because I'm a really bad photographer.

Looking at polished blue perfection never gets old! This is just how I would have done it and I'm digging the slide top treatment! What is the front strap; 20lpi, 25lpi, 30lpi?

Congratulations to both you and Jason for a job very well done! :D

Hi Dave. Thanks for the comments, though Jason gets all the cred. He built it. I just hid money from my wife long enough to pay for it... The frontstrap is 25 lpi.

So that's the trick.

That checking looks pretty wicked. Far too rough for these delicate hands. I need the 30lpi or even 40 lpi variety.

Very nice acquisition. Beautiful 1911 all the way around.

Fellas... thanks for the kind words. It sounds cliché to say it but it really is allot of fun building these! And, as Ted has mentioned many times over, we're the lucky ones that we get to craft these tools for such fine folks.

Deephelmet is just the kind of customer we all hope for and it was my pleasure to be able to help him add one more custom to his stable.

Thanks again!
