Just got a used RRA Basic carry and John Harrison was kind enough to massage it a bit
I see why all the craze for RRA 1911s are now. Ive been shooting Les Baers exclusively for years and my rock river might just be a better fit and finish. I cant find a flaw! and Ive tried
John Harrisons work is Superb!!! great attention to detail Highly Recommended!!!

Mr. Harrison is the best!
That's why we let him play on our team.

I've long said Rock River 1911's were the most under-recognized good 1911's in the biz. And at the moment I can't think of anything bad to say about John...... but I'll think on it and get back later

I consider myself fortunate to have one of the last RRA 1911s made. Over the last 35 or so years I have owned Baers, Browns, Wilsons and a few other "high dollar" factory 1911s and I would not give up my RRA for anything. Never could understand why they didn't get the following the others have.

Thanks. How are you liking it so far? What are you using for mags? I've been having issues with mags with mine. It's a good look with the gold bead.

Love it!! And do like the black rear with gold bead. I guess Im one of the few that doesn't use Wilsons. Ive always used CMC Powermags and never had a mag related function in any of mine. Im using a blue CMC powermag with low profile baseplate for carry right now

Thanks. I've been having issues with Wilson mags in mine. I bought some Metalform mags to give them a try, but thanks for the heads up. You've given me a few ideas for mine now.
