Just got word and pictures from Steve Morrison that my Defender is done! I think it turned out very cool. Here are a few pics.

Good deal, and good move, making it out of a New Agent so as not to have to contend with the funky Colt sight cut.

Granted you're a genius Ned, but how do you know he made it out of an NA?

NA's have that groove down the top of the slide and this gun has a Novak cut for the rear sight, which would be a lot of extra trouble on a Defender since it already has a sight cut that kinda gets in the way of a Novak cut. So my guess was that it started as a NA, but now I see "Defender" clearly rollmarked on the slide, so.... I dunno. Steve Morrison's magic at work is the only logical explanation! :D

safd,

Very nice pistola!! Can you tell about the grips, type of wood and who makes them?? I like the really dark wood like that and would like to have a pair for my Warrior.

Thanks,

Ben

I was given a Defender and went with that. The sights I let Steve roll with whatever he likes to use.
The grips are Spegel's that I got over at Lightning Arms, I forget what the wood is, but I just went to their site and I think they are blackwood.
thanks

I wonder if this was a "transitional" gun, where they too a Defender-marked slide and made a New Agent out of it? We need Steve here.....

Nedly, I've seen some of the Defenders with the standard GI type rear sight. Regardless, nice job Steve.

Nice work from MARS. I've never seen one in person prior to last week. My buddy just got a Colt back from Morrison and the work was very nice. The gun functioned 100% during the 2 days pistol class that was shot in the rain the entire time. My buddy did have to wait a long time for the gun after the promised completion date and lots of hassle. Hope you had a better experience with yours.

safd, Steve showed me your gun while I was in his shop (I may or may not have laid hands on it before the finish was put on). You're gonna love it.
