Here’s one that Ted recently finished...

Image

As we’ve seen many times in the past building on Colts can often present some interesting challenges... but turning these guns into Signature Grade pieces is always worth the extra effort and this gun is no different.

Finished in DLC and hard chrome this Signature Grade is set to be a working/carry piece. Careful consideration is always given to the right choice in parts as well as modifications and the finish on this gun will help keep it looking new even after the “new car smell” is long gone. The DLC finish is once again proving to be an ultra-durable and ‘environment’ resistant finish and combining it with a hard chrome lower and Ironwood stocks keeps up the classic two-tone look we all love.

Throw in a Sparks holster, a couple of spare mags, and a back-up J-frame and this gun is ready to be a daily companion. Enjoy!

Simply outstanding Mr. Yost! :D

The details in this build is something often left out by others, but never by you. And your grips are world class!

What can Isay other than "magnificent". I love those .35 calibers.

Not to worry...that revolver's nothing special (It's Burton's  ) We'll have some pics up soon of a couple of more "interesting" revolvers.....

I've been getting back into some of my favorite types of work - rifles and revolvers among them. All in the interest of mental health - at least that's my story for now

I was able to put a few hundred rounds through this after I picked it up.

It is incredible! It exceded any expectations that I had.

Right now it is being backed up a 640 in .357 from Marc Morganti @ Gemini Customs. This may have to change if Ted is doing some revolver work again.

As soon as I am able to get a few hundred more rounds through it, it will become my main carry gun.

Steve, I envy you. Mushinto (here on the forum) knows of my fondness for 9mm Commanders, I have one built by Wayne Berquirst that is a regular carry piece, and 3 stock 9mm Commanders in the safe. Jason is working on a Gov't .45 for me now, but I can see a 9mm Commander being sent to HP in the future.
