Tim-
Old buddy.....
Calling this gun "fairly nice" is kinda like calling Hugh Heffner's girlfriend kinda cute!!! Just don't do it justice. Nice work...as always! No mistaking the builder..evreything about it says CT Brian! Lots of detail and lots to like.

Extremely elegant!
My own preferences run a little smaller than the full size, but the proportions of the full size frame make it a wonderful canvis for the art of fine detail like this!
Yet another masterpiece Mr. Brian! My amazement with what you do continues!! I sometime think of all of the gunsmiths here on THW being like the demi-gods who made the weapons and lightening bolts of the gods in classical civilizations! The whole prometheius gig.... :)
The front sight seems to have some interesting thinning to it, is that something new you are working up these days? Neat small detials like this are the mark of a lot of thought going into the build- again, amazing! :D
Thanks for posting, photos of platforms like this are a great distraction for me when I am not feeling so hot!

Wish everything I owned matched your definition of fairly nice! Fine looking firearm there. The grips are stunning.

Fairly good smiff built it. I'll bet a fair number of the viewers here would give fair number of their teeth to own it, too.

I'm the proud owner of this one. I'm still waiting for the Fed Ex driver and the suspense is killin' me. I need to thank Tim for building this custom as well as all of his other considerations for me. It is definitely a milestone in 1911 ownership. Once again, thanks Tim...absolutely outstanding! It was worth the wait.

Regards,
Mitch

Nicely done... very nicely done indeed! A classic CT Brian gun all the way... often imitated but never matched!

"A FAIRLY NICE GOVERNMENT MODEL...."

Right, and the Mona Lisa is just another finger painting.

Tim is the master of the understatement.

Congrats to the proud papa Mitch.

Fairly nice???? Since that's only a "fairly nice" Colt, none of the connoisseurs on this site would want it so you can send it to me!

Seriously, that Gov't model looks just like all the other exquisite works of art you do!

Tim………

There you go again…………..raising the bar!!!
You build some of the cleanest and most innovative 1911’s out there.
This is a great example of a number of CTB firsts all rolled into one piece.
Well done! I am sure the owner is one happy man.

Now is that the only gun you have built in 2009........... Time to "open eye" and build some more 8)

CT,
Your guns are certainly unique and identifiable to you. Absolutely stunning work. With that horrible weather going on up there how to find the time?

Only going to be 112 today in Phoenix. We wore our suits to the shop. All three of us never fit in the little plastic pool but we take shifts.

Take care my man....great work as always.

WOW...

I gotta tell ya, in over 20 years of building and seeing some of the best that mans hands can build, This is one of the few times I just wanna buy one.
Not copy something, not redo it my way, not make it my way, Just friggin Buy it.

Happened with a Chuck Rogers(carry) Comp gun, a Richard Heinie 5 inch, and very few others.

That gun strikes a chord. Deep.

Hats off Mr. Brian

(would have to have a square trigger gaurd would be the only addition) :)
