With all the hustle and bustle around our shop during the days before the 2010 SHOT Show I didn’t have a chance to photograph or post all of the pistols we brought. So, timely as ever, here is the first installment of 2010 SHOT Show guns from Heirloom Precision... a Signature Grade Hi-Power.

Image

This gun was one of three Hi-Powers Ted had done for the show, the other two also being Signature Grade guns but with a few more bells and whistles... pictures of those to come later.

This particular Signature Grade gun was built on a MKIII Browning features the usual host of Signature Grade modifications. The gun was treated to a flattened and serrated slide top finished off with a Professional Grade rear sight and Gold Line front sight. A weld-on beavertail neatly cups a Commander style hammer that was mated up to a tool steel sear. The ignition system is set to go with a crisp 4.5# trigger pull that is complete with our custom trigger travel reduction. A custom thumb safety was crafted for the gun and the front strap was high-cut after which sharkskin stippling was added both front and rear. The barrel was re-crowned, a reliability tune preformed, the gun was completely de-horned, all lines were detailed and the slide was bordered. Rounding the work out, the pistol was finished in blue with polished slide flats and fit with Spegel santos rosewood stocks.

There’s no wonder to me why the Browning Hi-Power remains a very popular pistol that you’ll find in the holster of many knowledgeable shooters. For as much as I love the Government Model even I’m becoming a convert. The Hi-Power is generally a good gun right out of the box and with the right set of modifications the gun really begins to sing! Enjoy the pictures... :D

I have always wanted a High Power and have never owned one. That right there is the PERFECT High Power in my opinion. Nice work!

Now that's what I'm talkin about. I can't think of anything else needed to be the perfect HiPower in my opinion.

I have always wanted a Hi-Power like that. You can just box it up and send it to my FFL. Will you take a slightly abused liver?

Another beautiful gun from Heirloom.

My oh my Jason,
There you go again. With pictures like that I don't know how much longer I can resist
sending Ted another HP for his magic touch.

What a beauty..

Happy trails...

Walt...
