New guy here, so I thought I'd start off with my Colt that I just got back from Marianne Carniak. This wasn't a full custom, just a upgrade and Marianne did a fine job. I did a bit of research and provided all of the parts except the Novak sights.

Ed Brown - Magazine release, hardcore sear spring, thumb safety, hardcore firing pin and stop, rebuild kit.
Harrison Design - Hard use ignition set (sear, disconnector & hammer), Long, solid, IonBond trigger
Wilson Combat - Barrel bushing and beavertail safety
Les Baer - Mainspring housing serrated at 20 LPI to match the factory front serrations
Novak - Wide notch, plain rear and gold bead front

The slide was refinished in IonBond DLC and the frame and all lower parts were bead blasted to a nice satin finish. The grips are VZ Aliens in tiger stripe. I've been back and forth on 1911s for years and finally decided that it was time to get started with them again. After getting this one back, I think I'm hooked again.

Very nice looking pistol and knife. I have always liked the two tones.

Can you post some more pics? The pistol looks great and I would love to see some detail pics of things like the grip safety and front strap among others.

Here are a few I shot the other day. I'll get around to some better ones. The front strap is factory Colt serrated, nothing too special there.

Very nice!

Are the Series 80 firing pin safety parts still in place?

Yes. You can just see the gold colored parts from C&S.

Now I can add owning a two-tone to my growing Wish List.
