I'v got a hankering to for a better concealed carry gun. Since I have a Pro Elite sitting here, it's looking like a candidate for a few mods. First, should I even consider this as a base or sell it for something else? Next, is a Bobtail possible on a Al. frame? I'm kinda thinking of a Bobtail, trimmed beavertail, and heavily bobbed hammer. Any thoughts from the gallery?

Lance, No reason you can't bobtail the alloy frame, though it should be re-anodized, as this is an area that would get some wear from your hand. As to whether it's a candidate or not pretty much depends on whether you want a modified Kimber in the end or something more to your individual liking. You could also go to a flush hammer similar to what Tim uses in his Sidewinder guns, as well as trimming back the beavertail to almost non-existence if you so desire. Best,
