Here you go guys. Built of a WC aluminum frame with a Colt upper. Features a Nowlin barrel, 10-8 rear sight, brass bead front sight, and a mix of all the good parts.

Yes the screws are not clocked the same on purpose as a joke.

Enjoy..........

Very nice, certainly looks like a daily carry pistol and an idea that I have thought about lately going lightweight.

The Hi Power cuts look great on this pistol.

I went to a LW CCO for my primary carry pistol in April and haven't looked back. The weight difference doesn't sound like a big deal when you compare the numbers on paper, but it has made a big difference for me.

Exactly why I spec'd this one for a lightweight frame. Chris and I shot it yesterday before he had to part ways with it. It shoots as good as it looks. Plus we both commented on how the felt recoil was less that the carbon steel frame 1911 I was carrying.

Hmm, well my LW certainly recoils more than my steel guns but for "shoot less, carry often" it is perfect.

I have never had a LW feel like this one, but you could tell a difference for sure. I built a commander off a WC frame years a ago and that you can feel every bit of everything going on with it.

Very nice indeed. I would like to hold that to feel the weight, and the bobtail checkering is also really nice.

Those ball cuts with the High Power cuts really look great.

I'm looking around for someone who knows how to do that, to remove some forward serrations that no longer work aesthetically for me.

Unfortunately, it's very easy to cut clear through to China where there's an inside cut for the tab on the barrel bushing.
