It seems like it takes forever to accomplish, but every great once and a while I do manage to squeeze out a blaster for myself. The trick is to then hang on to it and take it shooting from time to time. This pistol started life as a Springfield Mil-Spec in Parkerized carbon steel. Over many months, the following work was performed to it:

Weld frame rails and re-fit to slide
Kart barrel and HD bushing & plug were fitted with HD slide stop
EGW extractor, ejector and FP stop fitted
HD Extreme Service rear sight & SDM front sight were fit with Over & Under tritium Stealth lamps
Slide top serrated 30 lpi
Rear of slide, ejector & extractor were serrated 50 lpi to match rear sight blade
Ball cuts and top border lines were cut, along with bottom bevel
Front strap checkered 30 lpi with smooth bottom border
Chen MSH fitted and checkered 30 lpi to match front strap
S&A beavertail and EGW thumb safety were fitted and blended
HD Extreme Service igntion set and smooth face trigger were installed and tuned to 3 lb. pull
HD extended mag catch and barstock plunger tube were fitted
Mag well beveled and exterior Carry Beveled
Exterior finished in Metaloy hard chrome lower and IonBond DLC on slide assy with polished flats
HD Carry Groove grips with HD hex head grip screws finish it off

Very well done John... now hurry up and engrave your initials on it so you won't be tempted to sell it!

What I see here is a pair of alligator leather boots, a Mephisto wingtips, suede loafers, a few pairs of Jimmy Choo's for the lady of the house, and Nike sneakers for the local soccer team. And new tires for the truck.
