What is your opinion of them as a base gun. I have heard that they have some QC issues from time to time but do they make a decent base gun for a full house job? They seem to be aggressively priced versus the FN version.

The CD guns are ROUGH at best. You are MUCH better off buying a used FN or Browning.

I don't think the CD pistol is a good choice for a custom HiPower.

badger, I agree with Mark. I had one here some months ago, and tore it completely down. It had a number of issues with QC, and even the grip screws were in the wrong location. In addition, they had cut the dovetail for the rear sight incorrectly and more that I've forgotten. The innards look to be FEG parts, and at best are sub-standard. I'd save my money. Best,

I never heard anyone say,

"Gee, I wish I would have bought a cheap clone for my custom project - this Browning's a better gun than I needed or deserved!"

I've only seen one Daly HP. That was enough. I promptly added it to the list.

I wholeheartedly concur with Mark, Don & Ted.

A house can only be as good as the foundation on which it's built.
