Two questions I have been pondering:

1. Does the Smith/Alexander or Wilson grip safety (both with pad) allow the pistol to sit lower in the hand assuming that the front strap hasn't been high cut?

2. Of the two listed above, which has the larger pad. I mean, which sticks out further to make contact with the hand (if that makes any more sense?)

Thanks!

Will

Will, Personally, I think it's a wash. They have different radii (.200 vs. .200), but it's not just the radius, it's the amount of material that has to be removed from the underside of the frame to match that governs how deep that area sinks in your hand. With these two, there is no significant amount of material that has to be removed in that area, so it's probably so close that it doesn't really matter. As far as the raised pads, they seem about equal as well. If you're having trouble depressing them enough to clear the trigger bow, any grip safety can be sensitized to allow for a minimum of required depression to clear the bow.
